Hi, it’s me. I’m back with a new art… though I did finish another one a few days ago for Daichi’s birthday.
But I won’t talk about that this time, so let’s focus on this piece.
I don’t know how the idea of drawing a human–bird hybrid came to my head, but I like how it turned out. At first, after finishing the lineart, I kept thinking about how to render the feathers without making them look weird on his skin. I did a lot of trial and error, and somehow it blended well.
Honestly, if anyone asks for a tutorial, I don’t really remember how I did it… and I don’t even know if I’ll draw this character again. The chances are pretty high that I won’t.
But guess what? He already has a name and species, thanks to suggestions from my Instagram mutuals.
So let me introduce him: Rukh Ozer, an Icarion (the human–bird species in his lore, which I won’t be writing about).
